running in Feb?

I'm getting the running bug a bit early this year. Its only Feb 5th and i've thought about getting a new pair of shoes and hitting the pavement. Yesterday while skiing I just felt kinda blah, no excitement, no snap. The waxing and the driving to ski trails and the lack of kick or too much kick and ... on and on make me appreciate the simplicity of running. Put on your shoes and clothes, out the door and get a great workout in an hour or less. Skiing is a 15 minute drive, wax, ski, 15 minute drive, dress, undress. THat's a good 1:30 or 1:45 for an hour ski. I usually dont bother to ski if i can't at least get an hour in. Just not worth it to me. 30 minute run? great recovery day and still a good workout and done quick!
